The Supporters Co-op sponsor the schools free ticket initiative

Community Ticket Initiative Returns

The Club are delighted to announce that the Stockport County Supporters Co-operative are going to be sponsoring the County Community Ticket initiative for the 2021 – 2022 season. The scheme enables junior football clubs and community groups to attend a match at Edgeley Park free of charge.

A sponsorship package of £1,000 has been agreed, which will enable the Co-op to purchase 1,000 community tickets. The Club have also agreed to honour the remaining 800 tickets, which the Co-op sponsored from the 2019 – 2020 season which was curtailed, bringing the total number of tickets available to 1,800.

Peter Towey, Co-op Chair commented: “We are very proud to support the Community Ticket Scheme and believe this initiative, alongside the Club’s work in schools is critical to growing County’s supporter base for future generations. In previous seasons, the Community scheme has allowed the Co-op to invite over 4,500 youngsters and their families, 73 junior football clubs and 26 community groups to watch a live game at Edgeley Park.”

Steve Bellis, Club President: “We greatly value our relationship with the Supporters Co-operative and are appreciative of all the support that they have given the club for many years. Through the community ticket initiative thousands of children have been able to benefit front the brilliant match day experience at Edgeley Park. We look forward to working with the Co-operative as we continue to work to get our great club back where it belongs.”
