The Hatters won their first game in ten as Craig Hobson and Tom Collins scored their first goals in County colours against Ebbsfleet United at Edgeley Park.
County began the game brightly with Hobson flashing a shot over the bar and Preston Edwards making a superb save to deny Sean Newton after Paul Turnbull had been brought down on the edge of the box.
The visitors appeared to have opened the scoring in their first attack of note as Nathan Elder headed home a cross from the left, referee Toner disallowing the goal after linesman flagged for a foul on Lewis King.
Fleet appeared fired up by the decision and began to push forward with purpose, Turnbull clearing a corner from his 6 yard box whilst Louis Soares flashed a shot across King's goal.
Both sides created opportunities as the half carried on in a lively manner, Danny Whitehead heading over after Hobson headed across the box, Newton's throw then headed just passed the post by Danny Hattersley.
With Alex Kenyon down injured play carried on and King was forced into a terrific save as Elder found himself through on goal.
County were forced into an early substitution as Tom Collins came on for Whitehead, who appeared to be struggling with injury on the half hour mark.
The County defence held firm to keep out a Soares free kick, Elder heading well over from a corner kick whilst King saved a snap shot from the big front man. The hatters keeper also earning himself a booking for delaying the visitors the chance to take a quick corner after Jordan Fagbola and James Tunnicliffe collided.
County ended the half with chances of their own as Andy Halls neat ball into Hobson was cleared off the strikers foot by Edwards, whilst good interplay from Hattersley and Halls ended with Hattersley's effort being deflected over for a corner.
County skipper Joe Connor landing awkwardly as he challenged for the ball at the far post from Whitehead's corner kick.

Matt Mainwaring replaced the stricken Connor for the second half, Fagbola dropping into centre half, Liam Bellamy replaced Neil Barrett for the visitors.
County started the second half as they had the first with Hobson firing a shot across Edwards goal after picking up a loose ball outside the box, Kenyon then firing an effort over the bar from 25 yards.
The goal that had been threatened arrived in spectacular fashion as Hobson,. receiving the ball in the box from Turnbull, turned inside his man before curling a superb effort into the corner of Edwards goal to give County the lead on 50 minutes and claim his first goal for the club.
Within two minutes the big striker had his and County's second as he volleyed home a sweet cross in from Mainwaring. Hobson headed down for Hattersley who found Mainwaring in space on the left, the substitute sending over the perfect cross the Hobson to smack home passed Edwards.
Three minutes late and it was 3-0 to the Hatters as Tom Collins scored his first for the club and what a goal it was. Having picked up a poor clearance from Phil Walsh Collins tricked his way past five defenders before slotting home passed the hapless Edwards
With his side well on top Hattersley, looking to get in on the act, sent a long distance effort just over Edwards bar a minute later.
The visitors were awarded a dubious penalty on 58 minutes, as Moses Ashikodi went down in the box after the slightest of touches from Newton, Elder smashing the resulting spot kick in off the bar.
The penalty appeared to give the visitors new heart as Soares saw an effort skim passed Kings post, Fagbola blocking another goal bound shot as Ebbsfleet earned two corners in quick succession.
Brilliant play from Hobson, Mainwaring and Newton gave the full back a good opportunity which was wasted before Sam Sheridan replaced the two goal striker.
With the Hatters defending deep Collins blocked an effort from Elder, before Ashikodi robbed Tunnicliffe to race clear, his effort flashing wide of King's post.
With the game coming to a close both sides created opportunities, Edwards claiming a corner released substitute Liam Enver-Marum with a quick throw, Halls clearing the danger with a last ditch tackle on the edge of his box.
Sheridan and Turnbull ,with a neat training ground free kick routine, made space for Sheridan who blazed over when through on goal.
