Altrincham held County to a nil-nil draw in a match that could easily have gone either way with both teams having a number of chances.
The game started as it meant to go on with both teams forcing the game into a fast pace. Before the first minute County got themselves a corner which Jamie Milligan whipped in but the Alty defence as seen all game were there to divert any danger.
County started the game well with Kristian Dennis going down the left crossed across goal to Milligan who volley first time towards goal but can't get enough on it to make it a serious threat.
At the other end, County keeper Ian Ormson was in electric form with some pivotal saves throughout the game, with the first of these coming on the 11th minute great diving save to ward off a dangerous free kick from just outside the box.
Another chance came for County this time for Kristian Dennis who was played in to a one-on-one situation with Stuart Coburn but his shot from the edge of the box was saved by the legs of the keeper. The next big chance came Altrinchams way when Reeves went close but Ormson made a quick reaction save to deny the striker, who scored twice last time the two teams met, with Scott Duxbury there to clean it up.
On the 35th minute Ormson did well again to save Nicky Clees curling effort from 30-yards out. County then went close when Phil Jevons shot from the edge of the box can only be parried by Coburn, with Moke lurking around the box he was able to pick up the loose ball but fires over the bar from a tight angle.
The second half was a lot less entertaining than the first half most of possession being found in the middle of the park however the best chance of the game fell to County when the ever present Milligan took a low shot from 30yards out which skimmed past the post underneath Coburns legs which on another day could have put County ahead.
County will be happy that they were able to dent Altys promotion hopes, however they will feel they did more than enough to get something out of the game.
