The Stockport County Appearance Number event at the Bungalow after the Wrexham game was a great success. The SCAN scheme guardians would like to thank everyone who attended - especially given the difficulties of having to negotiate the after match security arrangement to get to the venue. It was standing room only as 17 more SCAN certificates were presented.
We are particularly grateful to the players and club staff who gave their time and have thanked them on the supporters behalf. Events like this give the fans a rare opportunity to meet the players at a social event which is something we know you appreciate.
The former players Brian Lloyd, Bev Wilson and Carlo Nash along with Carol Whitehall, the descendant of Joe Birds, were also delighted to receive their Stockport County Appearance Number certificates. They all asked us to pass on their thanks to the County fans for the reception they received. In fact they were amongst the last to head home.
We also had a couple of people come forward to present to the two former County men, Maurice Brooke and Colin Parry, who we highlighted during Saturday's event as being unable to leave their homes to receive certificates. We'll be looking to arrange these presentation in the next few weeks.
The presentation photographs are now on the inidividual player's pages. Presenters will be able to collect their photographs and mementoes from the SCAN stall in the Family Lounge at the remaining home games this season.
