Alan Lord took charge as Stockport County sent a team to Skelmersdale for their latest pre-season game. The squad was made up of players that have not as yet played a full part in the pre-season fixtures to date.
County were first off the mark when good play down the wing saw Danny Rowe notch his first goal since his return from Fleetwood Town. The home equalised soon after with a free kick from Lewis Corrigan as the teams went in level at the break.
Euan Holden, Alex Meaney and Andy Graham replaced Jon Nolan, Sean McConville and Jon Routledge for the start of the second half.
County retook the lead as trialist Zach Rothwell tapped home after good work from Cameron Darkwah.
Darkwah was replaced soon after by Brandon Windsor, who had returned to the club from Accrington Stanley earlier in the week.
The Hatters gave themselves a two goal cushion as Holden slammed home from 12 yards before Deji Omoboye replaced Rowe.
The home side got themselves back into the game as a cross from the left was headed home at the far post and soon after the match was all square as a corner was headed in by Walcott.
