The football board of Stockport County have announced that they have parted company with first-team manager, Darije Kalezic by mutual consent.
County Vice Chair, Spencer Fearn, commented "despite Darije having excellent calibre and being a top quality coach the move, for a number of reasons, just hasn't worked out how either party had envisaged.
The reality is that despite our best intentions we believe that we got the decision to employ a manager without Conference experience wrong, and with seven cup finals remaining we have to try and make a positive move that will give us a better chance of retaining our Blue Square Premier status."
County Chief Executive, Ryan McKnight, also commented on the decision by saying that "it is now more important than ever that the people of Stockport get behind their football club for the vital last stage of the season".
The club would like to place on record the incredible amount of hard work that Darije has put in during his time at County and recognition of his undoubted talents as a coach.
The football board will now be working immediately to bring in a new manager in time for the home game against Newport on Saturday.
