Fans' forum returns - special offer with Dizzy Blonde to be announced

Stockport County FC and Robinsons Brewery are delighted to announce that, after an absence of 12 years, the Robinsons brand will once again adorn the front of Stockport County's playing kit in the 2014/15 season.

Robinsons have agreed to sponsor the alternate away strip with one of their best selling beer brands: Dizzy Blonde. The strip was officially launched at Robinsons Visitor's Centre on Monday.

Robinsons Managing Director Oliver Robinson and Stockport County first team Manager Alan Lord was in attendance alongside County players Kristian Dennis and Bobby Lofthouse at Monday’s unveiling. Robinson’s prizewinning shire horse ‘Trooper’ even made a guest appearance.

Stockport County Commercial Manager Chris Jolley said, "We are obviously delighted to have Robinsons as one of our key partners and on our alternate away strip for next season. This is the partnership that many County fans remember from our glory days and hopefully it signifies the start of a resurgence for the club.”

Dizzy Blonde, a vibrant golden ale with a distinctive wild aromatic invigorating hop, which will be promoted by Robinsons on the playing kit is already a popular drink in their range and is sure to be met with approval by County fans.

The partnership will also see the reintroduction of the popular fans forums in a number of Robinsons’ houses in the town where the supporters will get the opportunity to question the club’s Directors, senior management and players about Hatters Matters. The first of these will take place on Thursday 7th August 7.30pm and will be hosted at the Visitor's Centre.

Commenting on the recent shirt sponsorship deal, Oliver Robinson said: “We have a long history with Stockport County - for many years County players and fans wore shirts adorned with 'Robinsons Best Bitter' on the front. This deal is a sign of our commitment to our home town and goes hand in hand with our existing pouring rights deal at the stadium. We look forward to working together with Stockport County FC as they surely climb back through the football leagues to where they belong.”

The alternate shirt will go on sale as part of the build-up the the Mike Flynn Benefit Match from noon on Friday 18th July.

For a limited time County fans can get 10% off the Robinson’s sponsored shirt by purchasing a pint of Dizzy Blonde at selected pubs. Full details of this promotion will be released on County’s official website later this week.
