Stockport County are delighted to announce a new and exciting commercial partnership with the Vernon Building Society which is a further indication of the great strides the club is making on and off the pitch.
The Vernon will be a community partner of the club and this partnership builds on the community vision shared by both the Building Society and Stockport County. At its core is a fantastic free ticket initiative which will engage children in local schools by bringing them to Edgeley Park to see their local team play from a new area which has been specially created for them called the Vernon Community Block.
To excite all County fans even further about the renewed bond between the Vernon and Club we will also be revealing the return of an old friend at the game against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
Vice Chair Mary Gibbons spoke about the partnership: "we are delighted to have the Vernon Building Society back as a major sponsor of the club, they share our community vision and we look forward to a long and successful partnership"
Mike Hanson, the Vernon's Chief Executive gave his enthusiastic support of the new deal: "It is great that County's new owners share the Vernon's vision of engaging with local families through the resurrection of the popular school tickets scheme which over the years introduced many current fans to the club. We hope it will once again contribute to a great family atmosphere at Edgeley Park, helping to further the success of the team."
