A fine individual goal from Oli Johnson before the break gave County victory at Wrexham earlier today.
The Nostell Miners Welfare striker, soon to sign professional terms at Edgeley Park, cut in from the left to beat a defender before finishing clinically.
Gianluca Havern and Jason Taylor both came through unscathed after returning from injury. Havern played the full 90 minutes whilst Taylor played an hour before making way for trialist Fabian Jacovelli.
Gareth Owen also got a full 90 minutes under his belt.
Under-21 Development Manager, Alan Lord, speaking exclusively to stockportcounty.com said: "The performance was a little indifferent in the first half but, after the break, we enjoyed good ball retention."
Apart from Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jacovelli, County fielded two other trialists, Shane O'Connor, a defender from Liverpool and QPR midfielder, Danny Maguire.
"They all did okay," Lord told us. "With Maguire, in particular, looking impressive."
