Hull City striker Bill Law gave County the lead but a strong Spireites side hit back to win with two goals in the final ten minutes.

Speaking to stockportcounty.com Lordy said: "It was very difficult with seven or eight players on the pitch who didn't know each other.

"But by and large they acquitted themselves very well and it was only in the closing stages, when we began to tire a little, that an experienced Chesterfield side began to carve us open."
