Jim Gannon has admitted that he couldn't stand in Liam Dickinson's way after Derby County offered him a four-year deal to move to Pride Park.

Speaking to County TV, the Hatters chief said "We have a responsibility to the players that if a reasonable, respectable figure - obviously at the top end - is offered for them, how can we deny a player the opportunity to play in the Championship, possibly the Premiership."
