LEAGUE ONE ROUND-UP
There's been a flurry of friendlies in League One last night, firstly with Oldham drawing with Derby County 1-1 at Boundary Park. Emmanuel Villa put the Rams ahead in the 16th minute, but new signing Chris O'Grady levelled for the Latics on 22 minutes. Former Hatters star Liam Dickinson came on in the 65th minute to replace goalscorer Villa.
Elsewhere, Walsall defeated Stafford Rangers 3-2 after having been two goals behind, Millwall drew with Reading 1-1 in a behind-closed-doors game, Orient thrashed Dagenham 4-1, Gillingham and Ipswich drew 1-1 at Priestfield, Northampton were beaten at home 1-0 by QPR and Cheltenham held Premiership new boys West Brom to a 1-1 draw.
Huddersfield have completed the signing of former Blackpool midfielder Michael Flynn (not to be confused with the former County captain!) on a two year deal, who will most likely make his debut against the Hatters on the opening day of the season.
Oldham have signed the experienced Kevin Maher on a one-year deal. The winger was released by Southend after an impressive ten years' service at Roots Hall.
Colchester have filled the void left by Kevin Lisbie's departure to Ipswich Town by signing striker Akanni-Sunday Wasiu. The Nigerian was on trial with the U's after previously playing for St Albans City.
In forthcoming friendlies, Bristol Rovers face Danish side MABI tonight, and on Friday night Rochdale host Bolton & Walsall pay a visit to Halesowen. On Saturday Orient are at League new boys Aldershot, Bournemouth host Bristol City, Brighton are at home to Charlton, Carlisle at home to Preston, Cheltenham host Southampton, Colchester go to Dagenham, Crewe host Premiership newcomers Hull, Gillingham host Championship favourites Birmingham, Bristol Rovers continue their tour of Denmark when they play LB07, Northampton visit Luton, Tranmere visit Carl Baker's former club Morecambe and Scunthorpe host Sheff Utd.
