FANTASTIC DAY AT POYNTON

Posted on: Mon 28 Jul 2008
The Current XI won Sunday's annual County Cricket Match, played in bright sunshine at Poynton Sports Club.

Man of the match for the winning side was Jim McNulty.

Around £600 was raised on the day and the Fans Liaison Group will announce how much is going to charities in a few weeks when they have received all the promised payments and cleared the costs.

They would like to thank everyone who came along to play and watch, with special thanks to umpires Alan Kennedy and Brian Martin, Pete Liggins of PureFM for his announcements and scorer Geoff Thomas and everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.
