LADIES UPDATE 23/10

Posted on: Thu 23 Oct 2008

There was no match for the first team last Sunday. They face Leeds City Vixens away this Sunday (Oct 26th)

The young reserve team put in another determined performance against Leicester City Reserves. They conceded three goals in the first half but kept a clean sheet in the second, and they were unlucky not to score more than just a Kate Sweeney strike in the 3 - 1 defeat.

Six goals from the Allwood sisters - four for Louise and two for Kelly helped HNR to a great 7 - 1 victory over Wythenshawe Amateurs. A goal from young Grace Campbell on her debut completed the scoring.

The Blues took an early lead in their match against Manchester University with a goal from Tuesday Porritt and they held the lead until half time.

Their opponents forced their way back after the break, though, with a fortunate goal from a corner and grabbed the points with a goal in the dying seconds of the match.
