It seems like only yesterday that the final whistle blew on that cold and wet Monday afternoon in May, when County finally broke their Wembley duck with a thrilling, and never-to-be-forgotten, 3-2 victory over Rochdale.
The whole occasion was, without question, one of the most memorable and emotional moments in the Hatters' glorious history, and there was barely a dry eye amongst the Blue & White hordes when Gaz Owen proudly lifted the League 2 Play-Off Trophy; what a perfect way to celebrate our 125th anniversary.
Every County fan holds great memories of that day, and now we are giving you the opportunity to forever remember Wembley 2008 by winning one of the specially-made shirts worn by Jim Gannon's heroes.
The shirts - printed with Stockport County FC v Rochdale AFC, Football League 2 Play-Off Final, Wembley Stadium, 26/05/08 - are prizes in our fantastic raffle, which will run throughout the remainder of the season.
The raffle consists of four draws, on four dates, with four shirts on offer each time.
The fist draw, for the shirts worn by Anthony Pilkington, Michael Rose, Leon McSweeney and Stephen Gleeson, took place on December 28th.
Details of the remaining three draws are:
Draw 2 - 14th February (Millwall home) - Liam Dickinson, Matty McNeil, Conrad Logan and Jason Taylor shirts.
Draw 3 - 14th March (Orient home) - Tommy Rowe, Paul Turnbull, Gary Dicker and James Tunnicliffe shirts.
Draw 4 - 25th April (Crewe home) - Gaz Owen, Jimmy McNulty, Jamie Smith and Adam Proudlock shirts.
The shirts can, if required, be signed and presented by the appropriate player - apart from players no longer with the club. You will receive a photograph of the presentation which, again, can be signed by the player.
Tickets, which cost just £1, will be valid for all the draws and you can buy a raffle ticket online from www.countyclubstore.co.uk or in the County Club Store at Edgeley Park. They will also be available from official sellers around EP at every game.
The County Club Store are also looking for volunteers, and local shops, to help in selling tickets; if you're interested, please contact shop@stockportcounty.com
There is no restriction on the number of tickets you can purchase, and the more you buy will give you a greater chance of winning one of these precious shirts.
You usual magnificent support of this initiative would be very much appreciated.
