It was a popular decision when County arranged a pre-season game in Ireland ahead of the 2007-08 season.

And the club certainly surprised the travelling fans when they ran out against UCD sporting an 'Inter Milan' style blue & black stripes.

The strip, though, did have a County connection. Blue & Black stripes were the Hatters official away colours in 1972-73 and they were worn when County won 1-0 at Crystal Palace to create another record; the first Fourth Division side to win a league Cup tie away to First Division (now Premiership) opposition.

Hugh Ryden scored the history-making goal at Selhurst Park, whilst Liam Dickinson scored in the 1-1 draw at UCD.

The lads lined-up 1 to 11 in Ireland with Dicko wearing 10. The No 10 shirt is now available in our latest on-line auction and, with Liam now established as a real County cult hero, the unique jersey - none have ever been available to purchase - will make a fantastic addition to any collection of Hatters memorabilia.

It would also look pretty cool worn on matchdays as well!
