GARY ON CREWE

Posted on: Wed 02 Sep 2009

Speaking to County TV after the fine 4-1 victory at Crewe, gaffer Gary Ablett said "I'm delighted, but I still think there's room for improvement.

"Crewe played very well in all fairness to them," we went on, "and you could argue the score flattered us a bit. Carl is in a rich vein of form right now. Nicholas made a massive contribution, with strength, pace and power to hold defenders off, and that's why we brought him in.

"Lloyd Rigby did smashing. He looked very assured, very calm, and we defended his goal very well I thought."
