Groundstaff at Edgeley Park are delighted with the progress made on the playing surface over the last week.

Following the installation of a brand new drainage system, 150 tons of fibre sand has now been laid prior to the spreading of 500kgs of seed.

The pitch has been rolled and will be covered next week to help germination; the covers are expected to be down for three to five days.
