In a move to strengthen the squad, Paul Simpson has signed goalkeeper Matt Glennon and midfielder Jake Simpson.

"Whilst Ian Ormson has potentially got a great future in the game," said the gaffer, "he has been on the bench as cover and not as competition. Matt Glennon has got exactly the type of experience needed to put pressure on Owain."

Similarly, Jake Simpson - who played 20 times last season for Shrewsbury Town and won the club's Young Player of the Season award - has been signed to add depth to County's midfield.

With the loan window due to open next week, Paul Simpson is also hopeful of bringing in some more new faces to the squad.
