County's visit to Kidderminster Harriers saw Didi Hamann make four changes to the team that started Saturday's draw at Edgeley Park against Ebbsfleet United. Sean McConville, making his first appearance of the season after serving a three ban, replaced the injured Ryan Fraughan with John Miles and Tom Elliott coming in for Danny Rowe and Martin Gritton.
Elliott created the first chance of the game by robbing the ball off Tom Marshall before shooting straight at Daniel Lewis in the home goal, although the Harriers reacted when Steve Guinan's shot was saved by Matt Glennon.

McConville announced his presence with two well struck shots on target and both sides earned a corner each in a busy opening five minutes.
County created two opportunities as Elliott headed wide from a good cross by McConville and Sheridan blasted well over from another pass by McConville, the brightest player in the opening 12 minutes.
On 18 minutes the home side looked to be in with a chance of scoring the opening goal only for the offside flag to save the Hatters. County then create two good chances of their own with Sam Sheridan stinging Lewis'fingers from distance whilst Nick Chadwick's effort just cleared the bar.
County's pressure almost told on 23 minutes as another cross, this time from Sheridan found Carl Piergianni who headed over. The goal that County's pressure deserved came when Tom Elliott glanced a great cross from McCann into the corner of the net to give his side the lead on 26 minutes.

As Hamann's side looked to put the game beyond the home side before half time, Sheridan fired over the bar on 30 minutes after good work from McConville and Jon Routledge on the right and with the half drawing to a close Sheridan hit the post with a superb shot from 30 yards, which rebounded off the stricken keeper and out for a corner. From the corner kick Ryan McCann crosses for Elliott who almost doubled his and County's lead but for a fantastic save from Lewis.

No changes for the Hatters at the start of the second half which started in lively fashion as Harriers substitute Luke Medley raced down the left and crossed for Marc Williams but Piergianni was there to clear well under pressure.
Elliott created another chance for himself after closing down the hesitant Luke Jones, once again Lewis foiled the big striker. Hamann looking to capitalise on the tiring home defence brought on the pacy Elliott Chamberlain for Chadwick 56 minutes with Danny O'Donnell taking on the captains armband.
Harriers forced themselves back into the game with three quick corners in succession, although the Hatters should have made it two with a quick counter attack from the third kick only for the busy Sheridan to hit the side netting.
Chamberlain raced down the left and cut inside before unleashing a shot that flashed just wide of the post on 62 minutes, with Danny Rowe replacing Miles a couple of minutes later.
Glennon was becoming more busy as the half grew and was called into action on two occasions within a minute although neither effort stretched the big keeper too far. The Harriers claimed a penalty as Guinan went down in box but once again County raced away on the counter attack with Chamberlain playing in Elliott only for Lewis to pull off a good save at the big County forwards feet.
Sheridan picked up the first booking of the game on 75 minutes for foul on former County player James Vincent, whilst Nabil Brahim-Bounab replaced Sean McConville on 77 minutes as Hamann looked to shore up his defence.
The home sides constant pressure eventually paid off although it took a deflected effort from substitute Scott Phelan to finally beat Glennon with just 3 minutes to play.
