MILLWALL PREVIEW

Posted on: Fri 13 Feb 2009
County host Millwall at Edgeley Park tomorrow, the first game in a hectic few weeks coming up.

Dominic Blizzard

Earlier this season, at the New Den, County somewhat unluckily came out 1-0 losers. Both sides tried to play some good football, but a fussy display from referee Mr Williamson upset both sets of fans and somehow saw fit to give out nine yellow cards. The home side won a free kick on 74 minutes, after Dominic Blizzard was very harshly judged to have fouled Harris, and David Martin blasted the ball low and through the wall.

New 'Wall signings this season include 'keeper David Forde, signed on a free from Cardiff; French midfielder Nadjim Abdou, also joining from Plymouth; Tony Craig, a young defender who joined from neighbours Crystal Palace but began his career with Millwall; and midfielder-cum-striker Ashley Grimes, who came through the ranks at Manchester City.

More recently, Welsh international midfielder Richard Duffy join from Portsmouth, while striker Izale McLeod and midfielder Adam Bolder signed on loan from Charlton and QPR respectively.
