Dominic marked his debut for Watford against Norwich City with a goal in April, 2004, and by the end of 04/05 he'd established himself as a first-teamer. Unfortunately, early the following season his career was hampered by a debilitating illness caused by the Epstein Barr virus, and didn't make a first-team appearance again.
In 2007, part-way through County's record-breaking nine-game run, he signed for the Hatters on loan, after Stephen Gleeson had to return to Wolves. He settled in well, even setting up Adam Griffin to score the winner at Accrington to keep the nine-game run on track.
After seven matches for the Hatters, Blizzard chose to join Martin Allen's MK Dons side on loan for the rest of the season, with an assurance of a contract at the end. However, after Allen left Milton Keynes and Paul Ince replaced him, that contract was never offered and so Dom returned to Edgeley Park on a full-time basis.
Blizzard blasted home his first County goal in a thrilling 4-3 defeat at Charlton in the League Cup in August 2007, his strike putting County 3-2 up after being 2-0 down at half time, although two late goals from the Addicks knocked the stuffing out of County, and County out of the cup. For the rest of 07/08, despite being missing for most of the winter, Blizzard's form contributed greatly to County's successful promotion campaign, and it was unfortunate for him that another injury kept him out of our wonderful Wembley victory.
The 08-09 season saw Dom's best return goal-wise, including a wonderful volley during a 2-1 victory at Carlisle United. Despite the odd injury or two, he still managed 33 games.
