Stockportcounty.com spoke to Stuart Delaney after youth game at the weekend, against Burnley at Manor Farm.

Delaney was left very impressed with the display by his team, especially in the first half.

"The boys took on board the messages from the training ground," said Stuart. "We worked on pressing the ball and forcing errors, which we hadn't done as well at Woodley last week.

"We kept the ball well, kept control of the game throughout the 1st half and scored three good goals," he continued. "Danny Whitehead scored with a good header and right-footer either side of a good goal from Cameron Darkwah.

"The thing that pleased me most was the overall improvement from the whole squad, which we will try to maintain over the coming games."
