Teenager Adam Etches signed a two-year contract in May 2016 to keep him at Edgeley Park until the summer of 2018. 18-year-old Adam from Romiley made his breakthrough into the first team at the end of last season, having stormed through the Academy route under the guidance of Alan Lord.
His debut came in the end-of-season draw with Curzon Ashton in front of nearly 4,000 fans at EP. He has impressed everyone at the club, including his team mates and all the staff, with his standard of training and match performances, and thoroughly deserves his first contract. Adam is an attacking midfielder who can play on either flank or in the 'number ten' role just behind a central striker.
