Danny joined the Hatters in the summer of 2014, quickly becoming Alan Lord's first-choice 'keeper.
The experienced stopper enjoyed a successful season at Southport last year, where he also established himself as number one. But despite being offered a new deal at Haig Avenue, the 33 year-old jumped at the chance to come to Edgeley Park. Hurst had also experienced triumph in the division with Fleetwood Town a couple of years prior.
Speaking just after capturing the veteran, Lord said: "Danny has done it with Fleetwood and Southport, he's got bags of experience and offers something we haven't got with his experience and presence."
