The Hatters signed centre half Michael from Northwich Victoria, allowing the 26-year-old to finally fulfil a boyhood dream.
As a Stockport lad, he had always dreamt of representing his home town club.Last season Michael led Vics to the second round of the FA Cup, where they came within five minutes of causing an upset against Northampton Town, whilst their promotion dreams were shattered in a Play Off final defeat against Spennymoor. He made 61 appearances last season.
Away from football, Michael runs a successful painting and decorating business in Gatley. He started his career at Woodley Sports before spells at Chester and Rushall Olympic. Michael was originally a striker but was successfully converted to a defender by manager James Gannon, who named him club captain during his time in charge at Northwich.
