April’s Academy Student of the Month: Conor Harte

As part of our ‘Celebrating Success’ series at Stockport County Academy, we have our Student of the Month award for April. Conor Harte has been selected as the winner, for his consistent top work, his attitude and for helping others. We caught up with Conor about the award.

Conor, congratulations on winning the April Student of the Month award at Stockport County Academy. How do you feel?

CH: I am very happy to be named the Student of the Month. It’s a nice feeling and will motivate me to keep up the good work.

When you’re getting praise from your tutors, who have said that the work you have done so far has been some of the best amongst your group, how does that make you feel?

CH: It’s a nice surprise and a rewarding feeling to know that your hard work pays off, and to have it recognised and praised by my tutors. It means a lot.

So, we’re now approaching the end of your first year at the academy, what are you currently enjoying about your course?

CH: I have really enjoyed all aspects of the course. I am learning about many different areas. The tutors and coaches have been great, and I am learning on and off the pitch.

With your time here at the academy to date, what would you say has been your favourite moment? Both with education and football?

CH: It’s hard to pick out one moment as it has all been such a great experience so far. I get to train, play matches and study with a great group of lads and I am enjoying it all.

And lastly Conor, what are your personal targets for your second year at the academy?

CH: I will be looking to keep up the hard work and look to keep developing throughout the year., on and off the pitch.

Thanks Conor! It’s been great catching up with you today, and we’re all looking forward to seeing you carry on your great work!
