Away fan information | Stevenage v County

The Club have been provided with the following information for supporters who are travelling down to Saturday’s game against Stevenage in League 2.

Parking:

Supporters driving down to the game will be able to park in Fairlands Valley Car Park, opposite the stadium, for free. Supporters should then turn right out of the car park and walk through the roundabout underpass to the other side of the dual carriageway. The away end is in the South Stand which is located at the far end of the ground. It is also advised that any supporter coaches travelling to the game also use this car park.

Please be aware that there are strict parking restrictions on the retail parks situated close to the ground and supporter parking is not permitted on matchdays. This the same with parking on the grass verges near the ground, and the council parking enforcement teams are active on a matchday.

Arriving by rail;

Stevenage railway station is on the East Coast main line and has regular services running between the capital and the north. Great Northern trains run between London Kings Cross (from 25 mins) and Peterborough (50 mins). Many East Coast mainline services also stop at Stevenage providing travel options between London, Leeds, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

On arrival at the station you then have two options to continue your journey to The Lamex:

By taxi:  A taxi will take five minutes and cost approximately £5. Turn left out of the ticket barriers and head towards the town. Take the first stairs on the left before the bridge over the dual carriageway and the taxi rank is on the left.

By foot:  The railway station is approximately one mile away from the ground. Turn left out of the ticket barriers towards the town. Take the stairs on the right before the bridge over the dual carriageway and head along the A602, Lytton Way with the railway on your right. At the roundabout which has the police station on the right, use the underpass to take the second exit into Six Hills Way towards Asda. At the next roundabout take the third exit (South) continuing along the A602 Monkswood Way, passing Asda on your right and North Herts College. After about 3/4 mile you will arrive at a roundabout and the ground will be opposite you on the other side of the A602.

Pre-match:

For a pint before the game, away supporters have been designated the Broadhall Suite, which is situated next to the away end. Alternatively there are plenty of pubs in the Old Town High Street in the north end of the town that also accept away fans

There is a Burger King and KFC on the retail parks near the ground, a McDonalds 10 min walk away and a Tesco 5 mins walk away on London Road.
