October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Stockport County would like to welcome Breast Cancer Care to Edgeley Park this Saturday.
There will be a bucket collection in operation. All the collectors will be wearing pink shirts or tabards.
Every 10 minutes someone in the UK will hear those four devastating words – ‘you have breast cancer’. They will feel frightened, confused and overwhelmed, and their family and friends will need support too. That’s why Breast Cancer Care is so important.
This month, more than 5,000 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
These women, and those who love them, are too often left to manage the full impact of breast cancer alone. We know that when caring for someone with breast cancer, physical treatment is only half the story:
A woman is more than just her body.
Cancer is more than a tumour.
Breast cancer can take over your identity, stripping away who you are.
Breast Cancer Care’s free support helps women to regain a sense of control at a time when everything changes. That’s why we need you to help us #ShareTheCare.
With 62,000 more people being told they have breast cancer every year, there’s never been a greater need for Breast Cancer Care’s life-changing support. With your support, Breast Cancer Care can help ensure nobody faces breast cancer alone and every mum, wife, sister, or friend receives the credit and support they deserve when diagnosed with this life changing disease.
To make a £3 donation now, text CARE to 70300 or find one of the Breast Cancer Care volunteers around Edgeley Park on Saturday and make a cash donation.
