Referee Carl Brook has been selected to take charge of Saturday’s League Two fixture between County and Wrexham AFC at Edgeley Park.
The official refereed County on one occasion last season, overseeing our 4-0 win over Newport County at Edgeley Park, on Easter Monday. His last game involving Wrexham came back in August 2019, as he took charge for their 2-2 draw away at Boreham Wood in the Vanarama National League.
Brook took charge of 36 games in all competitions last season, the majority of which came in League One and League Two. In that time, he issued 131 yellow cards, three red cards and awarded seven penalties.
Across seven games so far this campaign, he has issued 42 yellows, one red and pointed to the penalty spot on one occasion. His last game saw him take charge of Charlton 2-1 Fleetwood Town in League One on September 2nd, in which a penalty was awarded to the home side.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Richard Woodward and Steve Rushton, whilst Lee Freeman will be the Fourth Official.
