Chorley match to be shown live at Edgeley Park

UPDATE – SOLD OUT – Our streaming of our fixture against Chorley, at Edgeley Park has now sold out. 30 extra tickets were made available and were also sold. No further tickets will be issued due to the capacity of the Sapphire Suite.

Stockport County has arranged for the club’s crucial National League North clash at Chorley this weekend to be streamed live at Edgeley Park.

Given the exceptional interest in this fixture, the club applied to the National League for permission to beam the game back to the ground and the application was kindly accepted.

There will be capacity for 120 supporters to watch the game in the Sapphire Suite at Edgeley Park, and these tickets, priced just £5.00, will be on sale in the club shop from 12 noon today and online.

County Director Jon Keighren said: “We are very grateful to the National League Chief Executive Michael Tattersall for recognising the exceptional circumstances surrounding this fixture and we would also like to thank Chorley FC for making it possible for us to broadcast the game.

“We are planning to provide match commentary to accompany the live stream from our cameraman at the ground, Dan Powell, so hopefully those fans who weren’t able to get tickets for Victory Park will still be able to share in the occasion.”

The Sapphire Suite will open at 12.30pm this Saturday (1pm kick-off) and will close 30 minutes after the final whistle. Refreshments will be available by way of a cash only bar, with food available –  Chicken Curry and Rice – £4.50.
