The countdown really is on now. After finishing March with a 100% record in all competitions, County enter the month of April with a Wembley Cup final up for grabs, and the opportunity to close in on a return to the Football League.
With just nine games remaining in the National League, County sit 11 points clear of 2nd place Wrexham, who have a game in hand, with both teams in fine former as we enter the final stage of the season.
See below what a thrilling April schedule has to offer:
Wrexham AFC v County – Saturday 2nd April, 12.30pm KO
A real blockbuster tie to kick off a crucial month, as the top two in the National League go head to head for a place at Wembley in the Buildbase FA Trophy semi-final. County will be looking to reach the national stadium for the sixth time in the club’s history, and the first since the League Two play-off final in 2008.
Having already sold out our 1,250 away allocation it promises to be a special atmosphere at The Racecourse, as the two teams vying for the National League title also look to lay down a marker ahead of the run-in.
The game is also being streamed by Wrexham, with match passes available at just £10. Click here for more information.
County v Southend United – Saturday 9th April, 5.20pm KO
The BT Sport cameras are in town for our first league game of the month, as we welcome Southend United to Edgeley Park. The Shrimpers are a very different side to the one County beat 1-0 at Roots Hall back in August, having had their fortunes transformed since the appointment of manager Kevin Maher.
A run of just one defeat from 16 league games has seen the Essex side fly up the league table to leave the threat of relegation far behind them, and they will provide tough opposition for County on this day.

Grimsby Town v County – Friday 15th April, 3.00pm KO
Dave Challinor’s side face another big test of their promotion credentials when we travel to play-off chasing Grimsby Town on Easter Friday. The Mariners were league leaders in the early weeks of the season, and have recovered from a serious dip in form over the winter months to climb back into contention for the play-offs.
Their record at Blundell Park is impressive, with only Halifax picking up more points at home than their 38 this season, and we can expect a hostile atmosphere when we travel there looking to move another step closer to promotion.
Tickets for this game go on sale to Season Ticket and Half Season Ticket holders on Thursday 31st March, from 10am. Click here for more information.
County v Solihull Moors – Monday 18th April, 3:00pm KO
The second of our Easter weekend double-header sees us go head to head with another play-off contender in the shape of Solihull Moors. Neil Ardley’s side are flying right now, unbeaten in 12 league games and up to fifth in the league table, and with an eye on a top three finish as they look to finish the season strongly.
County will be looking to complete a first ever league double over The Moors, after winning 1-0 at Damson Park earlier in the season thanks to Paddy Madden’s header. Tickets for this game are available to buy online now!
Yeovil Town v County – Saturday 23rd April, 3pm KO
Next up for County is the long journey down to Somerset, as we take on Yeovil Town at Huish Park. The Glovers are currently sat comfortably in mid-table, but were 3-0 winners at Edgeley Park back in September, a low point in what’s been an otherwise incredible season so far for County.
The Glovers could well have a new manager in charge by the time this game comes around, with previous boss Darren Sarrl leaving the club earlier this week to join fellow National League side Woking.
We have been given an allocation of 1000 tickets for this game, which go on sale to season ticket holders from 10am on Thursday 31st April. Click here for more information.
County v Boreham Wood – Saturday 30th April, 3pm KO
We wrap up the month with another home game against a play-off chasing side, as FA Cup giantkillers Boreham Wood visit Edgeley Park.
This game was being billed as a potential title decider just a few months ago, but The Wood’s form has dipped lately following their heroic Cup exploits that saw them reach the Fifth Round, with Luke Garrard’s side now sat just outside the top seven.
County will be looking for a first home win against Boreham Wood in this game – help them get over the line by coming down and showing your support – tickets are available online now!
