Coming up in March…

After completing February still unbeaten in 2022, winning five of our six matches in all competitions during the month, County will be looking to keep that run going as we enter a crucial period of the season.

Here’s what County fans have to look forward to in March, as we continue our title charge…

Saturday 5th March – Aldershot v County – 5:20pm KO

Our first National League fixture of the month sees us again heading south to take on Aldershot Town at the EBB Stadium, with the game being televised live on BT Sport.

Our 2-1 win there last season was our first ever away at Aldershot, at the 27th attempt, and having finally broken that hoodoo County will be looking to claim a first ever league double over the Shots, to edge a step closer to the Football League.

Tickets for this fixture are available to buy online now, via Aldershot’s club website. For more information on how to get yours, click here.

On-loan Derby County striker Jack Stretton was on the scoresheet at Aldershot last season, as we secured a first ever away win against The Shots.

Saturday 12th March – Needham Market v County – 3:00pm KO

Our attention then turns back to the Buildbase FA Trophy, with County now just two wins away from a Wembley cup final ahead of our quarter-final tie with Needham Market.

The Suffolk side are currently ninth in the Southern League Premier Division Central, the lowest ranked side left in the competition, but have beaten two National League sides already just to reach this stage, meaning County cannot afford to take them lightly as we look to reach the semi-final of the competition for just the second time.

We have been allocated 500 away tickets for this game, which are currently on sale to season and half-season ticket holders. For more information, click here.

Myles Hippolyte’s goal secured County a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy for the first time since 2019.

Tuesday 15th March – County v Notts County -7:45pm KO

Undoubtably the most eye-catching fixture of the month, with the club hoping for another Edgeley Park home crowd sell-out when we host promotion rivals Notts County under the lights.

Losing play-off semi-finalists last season, The Magpies currently sit 12 points behind us in the league table, but with two games in hand, making this a huge game in both sides’ seasons as we look to deal a blow to their title aspirations.

On nights like this, the 12th man really can make all the difference. Don’t miss out, buy your tickets today by clicking here, and help make it another special night under the lights for Dave Challinor and the boys.

County will be looking to avenge a 2-1 defeat at Notts County earlier in this season, and secure a first National League win against The Magpies.

Saturday 19th March – County v Wealdstone – 3:00pm KO

The games keep on coming thick and fast throughout the month of March, as we then return to Edgeley Park that weekend for a home game against Wealdstone.

Our games against the Stones usually guarantee one thing – goals – with County scoring 13 in our three previous meetings against them, with Ollie Crankshaw netting a second-half hat-trick in a 4-1 win earlier this season.

With the title race really starting to hot up as the chasing pack keep the pressure on, three points here against the side currently in 18th place is crucial in order to maintain our bid for promotion. Buy your tickets for the game online here.

Ollie Crankshaw scored a brilliant second-half hat-trick the last time we faced Wealdstone, in a big win at Grosvenor Vale.

Tuesday 22nd March – King’s Lynn Town v County – 7:45pm KO

County then face another relegation-threatened side in midweek as we travel east to Norfolk, to take on 22nd place King’s Lynn Town. County hit the Linnets for five at Edgeley Park earlier this season, with Connor Jennings scoring a dream goal on his return to the first-team following his cancer treatment – one of the highlights of the season so far.

With King’s Lynn currently sitting a big 15 points adrift of safety down at the bottom of the table, this game is every bit as important for them as they look to claw back that gap, and give themselves a chance of securing their National League status for a third season.

Tickets for this fixture have yet to be released by the home side. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for further updates.

One of the moments of the season, as Connor Jennings returned to first-team action with a goal against King’s Lynn back in November.

Saturday 26th March – Eastleigh FC v County – 3:00pm KO

County wrap up the month with another long distance away trip, as we head to the south coast to play Eastleigh at The Silverlake Stadium.

It’s been an underwhelming season so far for the misfiring Spitfires, recently under new management, but their record at home has been strong all year round, and they did beat County 1-0 in our only previous visit to the Silverlake last season.

Tickets for this game have recently been made available online by the home side. To buy yours today, click here and follow the instructions provided.

Paddy Madden was again on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win against Eastleigh earlier this season. The Irishman will be looking to add to his impressive tally of 15 goals throughout the month.
