County will be looking to pick up where they left off in 2021 and start the New Year with a bang this month, with six league and cup fixtures to look forward to in the next few weeks.
Here’s what County fans can look forward to this January…
Saturday 15th January – County v Larkhall Athletic
The FA Trophy is back next weekend, as County aim to seal a place in the last 16 against the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, Larkhall Athletic.
Manager Dave Challinor has made clear already that he intends to take the competition seriously this season, which was evident in our 4-0 hammering of Grimsby Town in the last round. With just four wins standing between County and a Wembley final, this is not one to be missed.

Tuesday 18th January – County v Eastleigh
Another game that has been rearranged from earlier in the season due to our progression in the Emirates FA Cup, our home game against an in-form Eastleigh side promises to be a blockbuster under the lights at Edgeley Park.
A big opportunity beckons with only one of the current top seven in action on the night, meaning three points against the Spitfires would see County further close the gap at the top, and keep the pressure up on the league leaders.

Saturday 22nd January – Dagenham v County
Arguably the standout fixture of the month, as we travel to a promotion rival in the form of high flying Dagenham & Redbridge. The Daggers have recovered from a mid-season wobble to win their last four league games at the time of writing, and are currently sat in 5th place in the National League table.
There’s an added twist in this game for County too, who will be keen to avenge that disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Daryl McMahon’s side on the opening day of the season – and three points at Victoria Road would be a real statement in what is a big test of our promotion credentials.
The game has been selected to be televised live on BT Sport, and so will kick off at the later time of 5.20pm – supporters can now buy their tickets for the game online, via the home side’s website.
Tuesday 25th January – County v Maidenhead
Back under the floodlights at Edgeley Park for the second Tuesday running, County will be looking to complete a first league double over Maidenhead United.
In the middle of a relegation scrap, Alan Devonshire’s side will be travelling to Edgeley Park determined to make life difficult for County, as we look to keep chipping away at the top of the table. With two of the current top three in Halifax and Boreham Wood going head to head that night, three points here is an opportunity to do just that.
With 20 goals scored in just five home games under Dave Challinor, any game at Edgeley Park these days is not to be missed – click below to buy your ticket for this game today.
Saturday 29th January – Barnet v County
County are back in the Capital for the second weekend running here, as we wrap up the month with a trip to The Hive to take on Barnet. The Bees have been much improved of late, and will be confident here after picking up three points at Edgeley Park earlier in the season.
With four of our five games in February being played at Edgeley Park, DC and the team will know that a win on the road here would put us in a strong position as we head towards a crucial period in the season.
Tickets for this game are available online now, via Barnet’s website. Click below for more information.
