Connor and James Jennings sign for County

The Club is delighted to announce the signings of brothers Connor and James Jennings to Edgeley Park. Both players arrive with significant experience of success at National League level and above.

Connor, 28, rose through the youth team at Stalybridge Celtic before going on to make 103 appearances for the Club. No stranger to Edgeley Park, Connor played 16 games for County on loan in 2012/13, scoring eight goals.

The striker has spent his recent years at Prenton Park, making 140 appearances for Tranmere Rovers since signing in 2016, including playing in 3 play-off finals, scoring in two of them and assisting the winner in the other, as Rovers rose from the National League to League One.

James, 32, started his career in the Manchester City youth system before playing for a number of successful National League Clubs including, Cambridge United, Forest Green Rovers and a promotion winning campaign with Mansfield. Most recently the defender was at Wrexham, making 107 appearances for the Club.

Simon Wilson, Director of Football said: “We are incredibly lucky to be able to bring another two individuals who have a clear understanding of what it takes to win to our football club, and I know they will do fantastically well here.

“Both players have already lived what we hope to achieve, and just like Liam Hogan and Lois Maynard, will provide invaluable know how to the club. It is a special moment for the brothers to play together, in their home town, but I know neither have joined the club for sentiment. They are excited about what we are doing and where we are going, and want to be a big part of us getting there.”
