Stockport County’s commentaries will return on Saturday August 21, on Strawberry Radio.
Strawberry will carry full match commentary of all County games, home and away, during 2021/22. Every game will be free-to-air for fans in the UK and around the world.
Paul Taylor from Strawberry Radio said: “We are delighted to be able to announce the deal with County and we’re proud to continue our involvement in 2021/22. We know how much it means for County fans who struggle to get to all the games, so this is a vital lifeline for them, wherever they are in the world.”
County’s Communications Director, David Ancell, said: “We were very keen to make County commentaries free and accessible to as many people as possible, and we are pleased to have Strawberry as our official media partner, working with the club as we bid to get back into the Football League. We’re also proud that we can continue to offer a professional product which we believe is unrivalled anywhere in the National League.”
Presenter Matthew Gilbert will host the show, with County commentator Jon Keighren live from the ground. Jon said: “Strawberry Radio gives us a number of routes to make our commentaries available to County fans right across the world, as well as those fans who simply can’t make it to every game. I will also have a new team of summarisers alongside me for the coming season, with some familiar voices joining us throughout the campaign.
“I’m immensely grateful to John Whelan and My Digital Accounts for their support over the last four years. John has provided incredible backing and without his faith in the commentary we wouldn’t be in such a strong position today.

Stockport County Live returns on Saturday August 21 when the Hatters entertain Dagenham & Redbridge FC in the curtain raiser to the new season in front of a bumper crowd at Edgeley Park.
