County fan Taylor set for once in a lifetime Wembley experience

Stockport County were delighted to team up with the EFL this week, to provide young County fan Taylor Dignan with a once in a lifetime opportunity at Wembley this weekend.

The 11-year-old has been presented with two tickets for Sunday’s showpiece League Two play-off final between County and Carlisle, and will be given a special guided tour of Wembley Stadium on the day – including access to the tunnel and the opportunity to go pitchside at the national stadium.

County-mad Taylor made the headlines recently when awarded the Child of Courage award at the prestigious Pride of Manchester Awards – recognition for his amazing fundraising efforts, which saw him raise over £2,500 for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, who continue to treat him for his Anterior Segment Dysgenesis.

The incredible young man was our special guest at Carrington earlier this week alongside his granddad, having the opportunity to watch the first-team train before meeting his County heroes. Captain Paddy Madden was on hand to present Taylor with a signed match ball, before telling the youngster all about his prize.

We’d like to say a big thank you to the EFL for helping to make this possible – we can’t wait to see Taylor down at Wembley, to give him a day he will remember for the rest of his life.
