Our final game of the regular league season, at home to Hartlepool United, has been selected to be televised live on Sky Sports!
This enthralling race for automatic promotion has gone right down to the wire, with ourselves, Northampton Town and Bradford City all still in with a chance heading into the final day. Barring a big swing in goal-difference with Bradford, victory against Hartlepool would be enough for County to secure a top three finish if Northampton fail to win their game away at Tranmere Rovers. That game at Prenton Park has also been selected to be televised.
It will be the first time County are shown live on Sky since a 1-0 win away at Tranmere Rovers in League One, way back in October 2009 – a Carl Baker penalty securing all three points that night at Prenton Park.
Kick-off will remain 12.30pm on Monday 8th May – please note that as a result of being televised, the game will no longer be available for domestic supporters to stream on Stockport County Live due to EFL broadcasting regulations. Audio commentary will still be available, whilst our overseas supporters will still be able to stream the game.
The game is set to be played in front of a sell-out crowd at Edgeley Park, with tickets in the home end snapped up within hours of going on sale.
