Stockport County is proud to be supporting the Stockport Foster Carers Association at Edgeley Park this weekend, as the local charity carries out a bucket collection ahead of our game against MK Dons.

“The Stockport Foster Carers Association (SFCA) is a small, registered charity whose aim is to fund and organise exciting events for children who are being cared for by foster families in the Stockport area. We aim to put on four events each year, the highlight being our amazing Christmas party which is held each December at the best events venue in Stockport – Edgeley Park of course!
“Although Stockport Council help us enormously, they simply do not have the financial resources to support these types of events so the SFCA needs to raise funds in order to keep giving some wonderful young people opportunities to have fun at memorable events. Also, these occasions are important for foster carers as it enables them to mix, chat and offload together.
“The SFCA is extremely grateful to County for allowing us to have a bucket collection at Edgeley Park today, and we can assure you that your generosity will help us to create some lasting memories for some very special young people in Stockport at the events we will be able to arrange for them in future”.
The club have continued to carry out bucket collections at all of our home league games this season, raising vital funds for a number of important causes. We’d like to thank everyone who continues to support these initiatives and is able to donate – you continue to make a difference to a lot of people.
