Stockport County Football Club are delighted to announce the return of our successful community ticket initiative aimed at junior football / sports clubs and local community groups.
This scheme enables youngsters and their families to enjoy a free game at Edgeley Park, with the aim of building our fan base for the future. We are looking to raise £1,000 initially so that we can offer 500 free tickets to the community. The Stockport County Supporters Co-operative have got the ball rolling, with a donation of £300.
Last season the organisations that benefited from this scheme included Autisk, Adswood United, FC Mavericks, Stockport Dynamoes, Reddish Vale, SEND, Spurley Hey U10’s and U14’s, Ashton on Mersey JFC, Cheadle and Gatley FC and Rose Hill.
Simon Dawson, Stockport County Commercial Manager commented: “The club recognise the importance of attracting youngsters and their families to Edgeley Park and the key role this plays in helping develop our fan base for the future. We hope this scheme is especially of interest to those already passionate about football and who actively participate as part of a team in their local community, as well as children who perhaps have not had the opportunity to see a live match”.
“The club really welcome this initiative by the Supporters Co-Operative and Help the Hatters. This is another example of how the club works hard, internally and through other groups, to encourage junior support for future generations. The club continues to run their unique and highly successful healthy living programme in the primary schools that sees thousands of young children visit EP each season.”
Pete Towey, Chairman of the Supporters Co-operative stated: “The Co-op are delighted to back this scheme again and our board have voted to donate £300 to purchase 150 tickets this season. We appreciate the importance of encouraging the local community to visit Edgeley Park and the invaluable role this plays in building County’s fan base for the future.”

This offer is open to boys and girls aged under 16 and one parent or guardian. Tickets must not be resold.
