We are pleased to announce that midfielder Ryan Croasdale has signed a new contract with the Club, extending his deal at Edgeley Park until 2024.
The 27-year-old’s deal had been due to expire at the end of next season, but he has now signed on for an additional 12 months after an incredible season at the heart of our title-winning midfield.
Ryan made a staggering 50 appearances in all competitions in 2021/22, starting all 44 of our National League games as we secured promotion back to the Football League. Under Dave Challinor he formed part of a formidable midfield three alongside Will Collar and Antoni Sarcevic that helped propel us towards the title.
Next season will be the midfielder’s first in the Football League after previous spells at Kidderminster and AFC Fylde, having joined County from the latter in 2020 for an undisclosed fee. He will also be looking to pass the 100-game milestone for the Club next season – he has currently made 92 appearances in his first two years at Edgeley Park.
Director of Football Simon Wilson said:
“Ryan is somebody who embodies the phrase ‘deeds not words’! You’ll rarely hear much from him as he goes about his business, but he has been perhaps the most consistent performer in the last two seasons.
“He is always available to train or play, and has a relentless work ethic which has helped the team dictate and dominate games. We’re delighted to extend Ryan’s stay with us and secure these attributes for a further two years.”
