Darren Stephenson has signed a contract to stay with Stockport County in the National League. He will wear squad number 15 for the new campaign.
He scored seven goals in his 36 league appearances last season and played an integral role in County’s Championship season.
Manager Jim Gannon said: “I’m delighted to get this deal over the line. Darren was a big part of our title success last season, he’s a popular member of the group and feels like part of our family.
“In terms of his ability he gives us a different option coming off the left and has experience at this level already. We are pleased to have him on board.”
Darren will feature for the Hatters in tonight’s friendly at Altrincham.
