Date confirmed for Cheshire Senior Cup tie

County have been drawn to face Tranmere Rovers in the first round of the Cheshire Senior Cup, with the tie to be played at Edgeley Park on Tuesday 26th September, 7.30pm KO.

The game will be our first in the competition since the 2022 final, also played at Edgeley Park, with County beating Vauxhall Motors 5-0 that day to lift the trophy.

The game is also a rerun of the 2016 final played at Nantwich, which County also won 2-1 in extra-time under the management of Jim Gannon. The current holders of the competition are Congleton Town, who beat Altrincham on penalties in the final.

All tickets for this game will be priced at just £5. Please note that only the Cheadle End and Danny Bergara Stand will be open for this game.

Tickets will first go on sale to season ticket holders from 10am on Wednesday 13th September, and will be available to purchase online, over the phone on 0161 266 2700 or in person from the Edgeley Park Ticket Office. On Thursday 14th September, they will only be available to purchase online.

Please have your season ticket barcode number to hand when ordering your tickets – these can be located on the back of your season tickets, and have previously been emailed out to you.

Remaining tickets will then go on general sale from 10am on Friday 15th September. Again, these will be available online, over the phone or from the ticket office.
