The Club have reached an agreement with NCP to offer discounted parking to County fans on a match day, via the NCP ParkPass app for a trial period to assess the appetite of fans to take the offer up.
The NCP car park is located on Railway Road in Stockport. The opening of the new pedestrian footbridge on Thompson Street in mid-December will enable fans to avoid walking through the railway station, the walk to Edgeley Park from the NCP car park is less than 10 minutes.
The trial run will allow County fans to use the NCP Car Park on match days at a discounted price of just £3 for four hours.
Sourcing local and affordable car parking for fans is an integral part in working towards our broad-based strategy to relieve congestion around the stadium and alleviate on street car parking in the community surrounding the stadium.
Ken Knott, non-executive Chairman of Stockport County comments on the deal:
“This is great news for the fans and testimony to the Club’s strategy to source affordable parking close to Edgeley Park, to help relieve on street parking in the community around the stadium. To be able to use this discount, follow the below instructions:
- Download the NCP ParkPass App from the Google Play Store or Apple Store
- Complete the registration process, including your Vehicle Registration Number – please do this well in advance of arriving at the car park
- Add the SaverID: SCFCNCP
- Ensure that your payment details are completed before you arrive at the car park
- On arrival at the car park, open the app and scan the QR Code at the entrance barrier
- On exit, open the app and scan the QR Code at the exit barrier
