First three pre-season friendlies announced

With the National League title wrapped up and promotion back to the Football League secured, focus now turns to next season and our return to League Two, with our first batch of pre-season games now confirmed.

Nuneaton Borough v County – Saturday 2nd July, 3pm KO

Our pre-season campaign kicks off on familiar territory for County fans, as we return to Nuneaton – the site of our 2019 National League North title success under Jim Gannon.

It will be our first visit to Liberty Way since that title success, although Nuneaton have kindly allowed our first team to train on their pitch throughout the season, on our way to long distance away games. Ticket information for this fixture will be announced in due course.

Chorley FC v County – Friday 15th July, 7:30pm KO

Another familiar foe from that title success in 2019 lie in wait, as we travel to Chorley on a Friday night to take on the National League North side at Victory Park.

The Magpies finished the league season in 6th place, before losing 2-1 in the play-offs to eventual winners York City two weeks ago. Ticket information for this fixture will be announced in due course.

Curzon Ashton v County – Saturday 16th July, 3pm KO

It will be two games in two days for County, as the day after that game at Chorley we then travel to another National League North side, in the shape of Curzon Ashton.

It will be the fourth pre-season in a row we’ve taken on The Nash, having won 4-0 at The Tameside Stadium last season thanks to goals from Ben Whitfield, Will Collar, Ben Barclay and Scott Quigley. Ticket information for this fixture will be announced in due course.

More pre-season fixtures for 2022/23 will be announced in due course. Keep an eye on the Club Website and our social media channels for more information.
