Many Happy Returns to the man with the magic hat, County defender Ash Palmer, who turns 27 today.
Ash signed for County in the Summer of 2018, joining from Guiseley where he made more than 70 appearances over two years, captaining the side in the National League.
Instantly becoming a fixture at the heart of County’s defence, Ash has quickly become a fan favourite at Edgeley Park, known for his no-nonsense defending, and ability to head away anything thrown at him!
He was a crucial part of last season’s title-winning success – his second National League North Title, after helping North Ferriby to promotion in 2016 – captaining the side on several occasions in Paul Turnbull’s absence.
This season, Ash has again proved himself a vital part of the defence playing alongside Festus Arthur and Jordan Keane, chipping in with two goals already this campaign.
