Adam Jones updates us on the Junior Academy
We are drawing to the end of the season and without doubt I didn’t expect in 9 months we would be in such a strong place within the Junior Academy. This is down to all the hard work from the coaches, the players, and the parents.
We decided at Christmas to move four teams up an age group, and I really didn’t know what effect it would have; it’s had a positive one and the players in them age groups have developed so well in the last 3 months.
The teams continue to do well competing with CAT3 academies and the reputation of the way we play and the success we are having is being noted by the likes of MCFC and MUFC.
We have been into both MCFC and MUFC recently with some age groups and did well receiving terrific praise from both clubs.
