We are delighted to announce that midfielder Connor Lemonheigh Evans has been voted as the PFA League Two Fans’ Player of the Month winner for January.
The award caps a brilliant month for the midfielder since being recalled from his loan spell at AFC Wimbledon in January, starting every game since his return and playing a key role in our wins over Walsall and Doncaster Rovers last month.
After winning a penalty at a key point in our 3-1 victory over Walsall at Edgeley Park, Connor then helped himself to a goal and an assist in a dazzling display a few weeks later as we won 5-1 away at Doncaster.
Those performances and results helped us end the month five points clear at the top of League Two and in control of our own destiny as we bid for a return to League One.
Connor becomes the first County player to pick up a PFA Player of the Month award since our return to the Football League in 2022. He will be presented with the trophy by PFA board member Peter Clarke on Friday morning.
Congratulations, Connor!
