Striker Paddy Madden has been rewarded for his fine recent form by being named the National League Player of the Month for March.
The Irishman has been a key part of our recent record-beating run, scoring four goals and assisting three as we won all five of our National League games in March, extending our lead at the top to eleven points.
He put in arguably his best performance in a County shirt so far when we beat Notts County 3-0 at Edgeley Park, scoring twice and setting up Ollie Crankshaw for his goal, in one of the finest individual performances seen at Edgeley Park in many years.
The 32-year-old scored further goals against Wealdstone and King’s Lynn Town to take his tally to 19 for the season in all competitions, and he becomes the first County player this season to pick up the Player of the Month award.
