Many happy returns to Jason Oswell, who turns 25 today

County’s leading scorer, with 12 goals in all competitions so far this term, and the current top marksman across the National League North, is continuing his good work in the final third from last season across the border in Wales.

Prior to his arrival in SK3 this summer, Northwich-born Jason won the Golden Boot in the Welsh Premier League, having netted 22 times for Newtown during 2016/17. He was also Player of the Year for his previous club, and has European experience from his time in the principality – scoring twice in the Europa League.

Before making a name for himself at Newtown, Jason also played in the WPL for Rhyl and Airbus, following a brief spell in Australia. He had originally started his career at Crewe Alexandra and subsequently headed north to play under Terry Butcher at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premier League.

Very best wishes to Jason from the Club – and from Hatters everywhere.
